It’s finally here! Our #RoadToMTAC2019 series comes to a close with Part 4/Live from MTAC episode, where we discuss cosplay with some of MTAC’s con-goers/cosplayers.

I’d like to thank all of my guests that came on the episode:  McKensey Guffey and her friend Sarah, Ziggy McGee, Rika Fields, Kirk Griffin, and Andrew Knollenberg.

In addition, I want to thank all of our loyal listeners. Without you, none of this would be possible. It’s been a wild, amazing ride so far, and I can’t wait to share the next chapter of the Geek Garage with you all!

Our #RoadToMTAC2019 series continues with Anime, part 3! It’s been long-awaited, but the one and only Mack Elder has finally joined the podcast, along with Kirk Griffin (featured on Part 2, Digital Gaming)!

We had an amazing time discussing the wonderful world of anime, touching on certain topics such as its rise in popularity in geek/pop culture, some of its appeals, and a few of the most-loved shows/films that are available to watch.

Ep. #28 – Love, Death + Robots

For this episode, we’re taking a quick break from our #RoadToMTAC2019 series to discuss Netflix’s sci-fi animated anthology series “Love, Death + Robots”. Ted White joins the podcast once again to take a deep-dive into the first season of the series, and go through it episode by episode to discuss things like varying animation styles, concepts/theories, and of course all of the gritty-ness that the show has to offer.

Ep. #27 – #RoadToMTAC2019 Pt 2, Digital Gaming

For part 2 of , Connor Miller and Kirk Griffin join the podcast to discuss digital gaming. First, we talk about how digital gaming is so deeply embedded into the Con scene, especially MTAC. Then, we do something a little new to the show: We take turns pulling topics out of a hat. Some of those topics include our favorite console/PC games of 2018 and the future of gaming (i.e. VR/AR).

Ep. #26 – #RoadToMTAC2019 Pt 1, Dungeons & Dragons

It. Has. Begun.  is officially underway, with Part 1: Dungeons & Dragons! David is joined by alumni of the show Dylan Kline (Ep. #12) and Brooke Foriest (Ep. #15), as well as GG newcomers Matt Foriest (husband to Brooke) and Dwayne Long (friend to David), who are all avid fans and active players of D&D.

We all had a fantastic time kicking off this series by discussing what makes analog/tabletop gaming (D&D in particular) so much fun, and how over recent years it has become more mainstream than ever.

Please take the time to support our lovely guests by giving them a follow on their respective social media platforms, and we will see you all soon for Part 2: Digital Gaming!

Ep. #25 – Happy Birthday, The Matrix

Help us wish The Matrix a happy 20th birthday by listening to Ted White and I discuss the film’s cultural impact over the years!

What aspect of digital gaming should we discuss?

Happy Monday, my fellow Geeks! We need your help with part 2 of our “Road To MTAC 2019” series (digital gaming). This is an opportunity for you all to participate in a poll, to decide what our angle will be for the Digital Gaming episode.
