What is up, my fellow nerds? I hope everyone is having a fantastic start to the wonderful month of May! I wanted to take a moment to give you amazing fans a quick rundown of the recent happenings with the podcast, and the awesome things to come in the near future!

First off, I would like to thank again everyone who was involved with the #RoadToMTAC2019 series in any capacity. This includes the folks that came on as guests for parts 1-3, participated in the Live from MTAC episode on cosplay, and helped support the show by sporting our new buttons. We truly appreciate all that you have done to help us out, and we simply cannot thank you enough!
The New and Improved
Next up, we want to fill you in on a few things that are brand-spankin-new to the podcast:
- The podcast is now available on Spotify! That’s right, now you can follow the podcast in the same app you use to listen to all your favorite music. So head on over and give us a Follow!
- You can now also find the podcast on YouTube! As of right now, we don’t have much live video recordings of the podcast (but that is soon to come 😉). However, as of today May 1st we do have our latest episode available, plus a few of our earlier episodes, to listen to. So if you’re a big fan of YouTube content, be sure to head on over to our channel, and give us a Subscribe!
- We now have an awesome mailing list that you can join! Going forward, this will be by far one of the best ways to stay current to the goings-on of the podcast, from new episodes and blog posts, to events and contests. Speaking of which, we are currently running a promotion until May 10th, where if you join our mailing list you’ll be automatically entered to win a $25 Amazon gift card! On May 11th, I will make an announcement on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter of who the winner is (you’ll also be notified VIA email).
Our Next Episode
We’ll be recording our next episode this Saturday, and we’ll be discussing a film that only a few people are talking about right now. Naturally, I’m speaking of Avengers: Endgame. As of right now, we have enough guests coming on the episode. However, we would love to hear some aspects of the film that you would like us to discuss! Most importantly though, this episode will be chock-full of spoilers, so listeners beware!
June at a Glance
We have something VERY exciting in store for next month. With June being Pride Month, we want to show our pride and spread the love, so we’ll be taking steps to shine light on the LGBTQ community in geek-media, both fictional and real life! I don’t want to spoil too many surprises, but just know that it’s going to be an amazing celebration of love, friendship, and acceptance ❤️🏳️🌈
Going forward…
In the coming months, we’re going to be trying a few new/different things. The biggest thing perhaps will be the introduction of “Themed Months”, where for an entire month all of our content (podcast episodes, blog posts, etc) will have a specific theme. For instance, during the month of July, our podcast topics will be anything and everything Spider-Man related, in celebration of the MCU’s latest release, Spider-Man: Far From Home! We’ll obviously do an episode on FFH, and the others will be Spidey-related as well. Maybe one on Into The Spiderverse, and another TBD. And as always, we welcome with open arms any suggestions for topics you would like to see us discuss on the podcast. After all, this show does belong to all the nerds in the universe!
